By Rail: Pathankot serves as the nearest railway station, situated a mere 80 kilometres away from Dalhousie. From Pathankot, travellers can opt for HPSRTC buses or shared taxis, which typically cover the distance to Dalhousie in 3-4 hours.
By Road: You can drive your vehicle directly to Dalhousie if you feel comfortable driving in hilly areas. However, HPSRTC buses are also available on the Pathankot bus stand and take 3-4 hours to reach Dalhousie. Delhi also offers both ordinary and luxury bus services to Dalhousie, with travel times ranging from 13 to 14 hours.
Note: You can counter tedious traffic in season; it is recommended to prefer train to Pathankot and then bus to Dalhousie instead of your own vehicle.

St. France's Church: This is a prominent Catholic church located near Subhash Chowk in Dalhousie. The St. Francis Church was constructed in 1894 by the Army and Civil Officers. The trek to Ganji Pahari is moderate and takes about 1-2 hours.
Jalpa Mata Temple: The ancient temple is located near Rock Garden in Devi Dehra, nearly 15 kilometres from Dalhousie. The temple is dedicated to Jalpa Mata, a goddess incarnated from the water kept in a vessel, as per local folktale. A Nagdevta temple is also located near Jalpa Devi temple. You can visit this serene place to enjoy folktales and take blessings from the goddess.
Chamera Lake: You can move towards a giant blue lake, located around 8 kilometres from Jalpa Mata temple. The Chamera Dam and the Lake offer amazing landscape, including the Manimahesh Kailash in the frame. You can enjoy boating in the lake, which may cost you around Rs. 400-500 per person.
Pohlani Mata Temple trek: The trek starts from Dainkund, which is nearly 12 kilometres from Dalhousie en route to Khajjiar. The total length of the easy trek is 5 kilometres, and it offers amazing views of further Himalayan valleys. The temple on the top is dedicated to Goddess Pohlani, a goddess worshipped by locals. The trail to Pohlani Mata Temple feels so soothing due to meadows and serene landscapes.
Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary: Also known as Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary, this serene place is a wildlife retreat located nearly 11 kilometres from Dalhousie.
